Both diabetes and diabetic retinopathy is becoming increasingly prominent in the modern world today. The primary cause of diabetes today is the modern lifestyle. Diabetes is a multi organ disorder that involves and affects every organ. It has often been seen that diabetes in patients leads to diabetic retinopathy. Firstly what needs to be considered is whether a patient may develop diabetic retinopathy if his diabetes is under control. If the diabetes is under control, there is a very less chance that the patient will develop diabetic retinopathy. However, if the patient develops this, it is very important to get his diabetes and eyes checked. In all cases of diabetes, frequent examination becomes crucial for patients.
