With a breech position delivery, the foot of the fetus serves as the presenting component rather than the head. In India, it makes up 2.5 - 3 percent of cases and effective breech position management proves highly crucial. Early in the pregnancy, breech position is very common, although the fetus&#039;s position is automatically corrected. This happens because the head naturally gravitates downward because it is the heaviest part of the body. The position changes when there is a breech. This disrupts SVD, spontaneous vaginal delivery, or an otherwise challenging normal delivery. The majority of obstetricians choose and advise lower (uterine) segment Cesarean sections.
