There are two types of hair transplantation techniques namely (FUT) or follicular unit transplant and (FUE) or follicular unit excision. In FUT, a strip of skin is taken by surgery from the back head and the gap is sutured using dissolving sutures. The only limitation is that it leaves behind a linear scar mark at the back head. Then, individual hair follicles are extracted from the strip and then implanted. While in FUE, surgeons extract individual hair follicles under local anesthesia. Experienced surgeons using the latest instruments reduce follicle injury. Tiny scars might appear at the places of follicle extraction.
