The causes of syncope may be diverse and may include burdening the brain, heart or peripheral nerves. In the brain epilepsy, stroke can often present as a syncope. Situations when the heart rate goes down ( 30 beats per minute) or goes very fast (200 beats per minute) may be identified as common syncope causes. It has often been seen that people standing in a queue fall down because they feel giddy and these situations are called vasovagal syncope. It is thus evident that the causes of syncope are varied and proper interventions are required so that it can be managed effectively.
