Diet may not always be linked to developing kidney stones. Animal protein or a diet with more sodium can cause higher concentrations or possibilities of stones in the urinary tract. In some patients, there may be an association of kidney stones with Vitamin C supplements in their regular lifestyles. Dietary calcium is important as it helps in reducing tendencies to develop these stones. Increased dietary calcium is thus crucial for individuals rather than calcium supplements through medicines. Vitamin B6 has some role in reduced stone formation. Patients must drink adequate quantities of water to prevent or manage this situation better.
