It is a myth that the gallbladder surgery itself will lead to significant weight gain. This surgery is usually indicated when patients suffer from gallbladder stones or infections in the gallbladder. Before and during the procedure, patients have to follow a lot of dietary restrictions. Once the surgery is over, they tend to eat more and this may lead to weight gain.
