Parents need to follow several earache tips for children so that infections are managed effectively. Treatment of earache in children is done as per their presentation. If it is an acute infection and the child is small and has fever, medicines are given to control the fever and infection. Medicines are also given to dry up the puss that has built up behind the eardrum. When medicines are not available at hand, parents must try to find out if the pain in children is due to trauma. If a child has been sick for a week and suddenly complains of ear pain, it suggests that he has developed a puss in the ear. Painkillers may be given to the child to ease the pain. Drops may also be suggested by doctors to ease earache and infection in children.
