Hypertensive retinopathy occurs due to high blood pressure and different grades of changes are seen in the retina. Patients associated with hypertension in blood vessels of the eye, exhibit many changes in the  retina. Prevention of hypertension in elderly is inevitable. For the youngsters, it is important to take care of this hypertension because the faster the treatment is, the patient will have more chances to prevent his retina from getting affected.
