Inhalers are helpful for children if they suffer from asthma or other kinds of respiratory diseases and thus it is important for parents to know about inhaler techniques on child. Spacers can be safely used in children above the age of three years. The metered dose inhaler must be shaken well before using and has to be put in one end of the spacer whereas the other end must be put into the child’s mouth. Thereafter, puffs need to be given while advising the child to breathe normally. In case of children below 3 years, the mask must be used along with the spacer for proper delivery of the drug.
