The pain from hyperacidity usually occurs in the upper area of the abdomen, and it can even occur on an empty stomach. Causes of hyperacidity must therefore be known well. It develops when patients with this condition produce more acid than usual, which is not properly neutralized on an empty stomach. Nausea and vomiting are the primary symptoms. Antacids for ten to fourteen days are the treatment, which will help in the clearance of these acids. An endoscopic evaluation is required if the symptoms last longer than 10 days. This process involves inserting a camera into the food pipe of patient to check for the formation of any stomach ulcers.
