Normally, the urethral opening is at the tip of the penis. Urethra is the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside. The outer opening is called the meatus. The meatus is normally located at the tip from where males pass urine. On the contrary, in the case of hypospadias, it is located anywhere on the undersurface. In severe cases, it can go far between the scrotum. Hence, the scrotum is divided into two instead of becoming a joint sack. In between them is a line called the urinary opening.
