Cancer is a global health concern that affects millions of people every year. While providing treatment, the primary attempt of the oncologist or cancer specialist is to control the burgeoning cancerous cells. For this, three methods are used: chemotherapy, surgery, and radiotherapy. Out of the three, radiation therapy for cancer is used in 80 to 90% of the cases. Nevertheless, many people prefer to avoid radiotherapy as they think it is an excruciating procedure, but it is not. It is just like an X-ray where the cancer site is exposed to radiation for 5 or 6 or 7 weeks depending upon the requirement.
