Typhoid is a very dangerous disease. If left untreated, it can not only cause harm but can also increase the mortality rate by 10%. Typhoid is caused by Salmonella enterica typhi which is a gram-negative bacterium. If this enters the human body, it goes into the intestine. Followed by this, the bacterium moves to the liver and then to the bloodstream. The symptoms start after 10 to 14 days. After 4 to 5 days, the patient starts having a fever and if it is diagnosed within that time, the treatment begins. If the patient is untreated, it can cause harm to the heart, lungs, and brain.
