The optical system in laparoscopy consists of a camera, a telescope and a monitor. Camera resolution depends on the number of pixels on the chip. Standard cameras have 2,50000- 3,80000 pixels.  The camera is applicative in operative surgeries. Telescopes are either rigid or flexible and are made of stainless steel. The rigid telescopes are the most used and are available in various size ranges also. The monitor is used for a high-resolution camera and is facilitated with a recording system for audio and video purposes. Dr. Ninad Kade is a gynaecologist and an endoscopic surgeon.
