The indication of IVF is first observed critically. In case the patient has come up with the issue of both the fallopian tubes being blocked, it is clear that she cannot go for the spontaneous pregnancy. IVF is only advised if there is unexplained infertility. Spontaneous pregnancy is only advised when the woman has no health problems, her uterus is normal, the number of eggs is normal and the sperm is normal. In case of unexplained infertility, doctors advise going for spontaneous pregnancy if the cycle fails. For that, the patients need to visit the doctor for various observations like whether the eggs are forming or not which is called Follicular monitoring, and when the follicle is maturing IUI is performed to control the stimulation in which the pregnancy rate is around 20-80% per cycle. Around 3-4 IUI cycles can be performed when the patient does not have any major problems like blocked tubes or oligoasthenozoospermia in which spontaneous pregnancy is not possible.
