Libido is the sexual desire in a person&#039;s mind. Libido is not affected by diabetes. Diabetes actually affects the ability to get aroused and get an erection thus affecting the ability to perform sexual intercourse. This is diabetogenic erectile dysfunction. Almost 55% of diabetic patients can develop erectile dysfunction. Diabetics are more prone to develop erectile dysfunction when compared to non-diabetic people. If diabetes is detected early, erectile dysfunction can be treated well and if diabetes is under control, the person can lead a normal sexual life by taking guidance from a doctor.
