Intravitreal injection uses are diverse. It is widely used for patients suffering from diabetic macular edema. Due to chronic glycemic load, the macro vessels lose their ability to control the blood flow and the walls get weakened. This causes leakage of fluid in the retina through those vessels. When the fluid gets collected in the central part of the retina, the patient suffers from distorted vision and reduced near vision.
