There are no specific causes for gallbladder stones. Many people blame high cholesterol food items like paneer and cheese for gallbladder. If there is a crisis in the gallbladder, it can lead to the formation of stones. Gallbladder is a storage container from where the bile comes from the liver. It comes from the cystic duct to the gallbladder. When a person eats oily food, the bile is secreted into the duodenum. The mucus of the gallbladder goes bad due to infection. This is the main reason for the formation of gallstones. They are of two types - pigment stone and cholesterol stone. Some of the symptoms are a pain in the abdomen, bloating, and indigestion.
